Quiflex® joint in the VDMA high-bay warehouse
Quiflex® joint in the VDMA high-bay warehouse
The problem
Above a certain size, floors in high-bay warehouses can no longer be produced without joints for reasons of building physics. Due to the heavy load caused by the hard Vulkolan tires of the narrow-aisle forklift trucks, chipping is often found in the area of structural joints in the driving area. Cable breakages on the induction loop are also an everyday problem. This results in regular malfunctions and the resulting constant need for renovation at these points. In narrow-aisle and high-bay warehouses, considerable demands are placed on floor evenness and smooth running of the industrial trucks. In particular, expansion joints in the hall floor that run at right angles to the aisle are a significant disruptive factor. The disturbing impulse generated by the joints is transferred to the forklift truck and causes dangerous rocking. The inevitable consequence is a reduction in speed and, in the worst case, failure of the truck.
The solution
The Quiflex® liquid joint is installed on site in high-bay warehouse aisles as a highly resilient and permanently elastic joint solution and can be perfectly adapted to the local conditions. The completely vibration-free crossing without any edges, cracks or joint slots is guaranteed to be permanently maintenance-free.
Advantages of Quiflex® joints in VDMA high-bay warehouses
Higher storage throughput and full travel speed
Reduction of vibration exposure for man and machine
Compliance with all floor evenness requirements in accordance with DIN 15185, VDMA etc.
Reduction in maintenance costs for industrial trucks
Plastic-based and sandable
Reduced tire wear
No cracks, edges or joints in the surface
Elimination of the risk of accidents
Can be driven over completely vibration-free
