The problem

Abo­ve a cer­tain size, flo­ors in high-bay warehou­ses can no lon­ger be pro­du­ced wit­hout joints for reasons of buil­ding phy­sics. Due to the hea­vy load cau­sed by the hard Vul­ko­lan tires of the nar­row-ais­le for­k­lift trucks, chip­ping is often found in the area of struc­tu­ral joints in the dri­ving area. Cable breaka­ges on the induc­tion loop are also an ever­y­day pro­blem. This results in regu­lar mal­func­tions and the resul­ting con­stant need for reno­va­ti­on at the­se points. In nar­row-ais­le and high-bay warehou­ses, con­sidera­ble demands are pla­ced on flo­or even­ness and smooth run­ning of the indus­tri­al trucks. In par­ti­cu­lar, expan­si­on joints in the hall flo­or that run at right angles to the ais­le are a signi­fi­cant dis­rup­ti­ve fac­tor. The dis­tur­bing impul­se gene­ra­ted by the joints is trans­fer­red to the for­k­lift truck and cau­ses dan­ge­rous rocking. The ine­vi­ta­ble con­se­quence is a reduc­tion in speed and, in the worst case, fail­ure of the truck.
