The masterful archer masters a constant, coordinated sequence of movements. Its key characteristics: mental strength, stamina and the ability to concentrate in the moment. The P&K Flooringgroup team brought much more to the 2020 summer party: conviviality and fun!

The weather was perfect and five teams stalked along narrow paths through the dense archery course forest in high spirits. Accompanied by archers from Schützengilde 3D, Backnang and equipped with TakeDown recurve bows, arm and finger protection, they went hunting for foam game and points.

There were only three attempts, i.e. three arrows, for each participant at each station to hit the rat, wild boar or wolf. Stand correctly — draw the arrow — grip the bow and string — concentrate — visualize — pull out the string — anchor the string hand — release — in the best case (with the first arrow) hit — in the worst case (three times) miss and then laboriously search for arrows in the thorny undergrowth.

“So we would survive in Africa!” says Fabian Diedersdorfer happily. His first arrow hits the rhino with ease. Special challenge and fun factor: sitting on a (wooden) horse in the saddle and aiming at a foam bunny. No, you didn’t hear any Indian howls, even if one or two people felt like Winnetou. At times, however, collective cheers echoed through the forest and Tina Ittermann’s bell-like laughter.

“I enjoyed being out in nature and combining hiking and archery,” said Franz Tingler. Thomas Diedersdorfer also found it exciting and appealing to run through dense forest and spy the next destination between the trees and undergrowth. “It was great fun and I enjoyed being with the team and getting to know my colleagues better,” said Ramona Käfer.

Managing Director Heinz Knauseder is delighted with the successful event: “Everyone was enthusiastic, both about the archery and the subsequent event in the Tapas Bar.” Delicate wines and refined 4‑course menus were served at the fine Spanish restaurant “Teneria” in Waiblingen. In a Mediterranean flair and cozy atmosphere, the colleagues feasted until the early hours of the morning and were already planning the next summer party.
Everyone went home a winner that day.
